REVIEW

Everyone has a favorite leader who inspired us in different ways. Sometimes, they can be role models. One such leader who inspired me is the former president “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ”.
Everyone gets inspired by his works. If you wish to learn more about him, then the best choice is reading “Wings of Fire”. The book is an autograph of APJ Abdul Kalam covering his childhood life and the work in the Indian Space Research Organization and Missile Program. In the book Wings of Fire, you can witness how the author who came from a humble background, then went into the Indian Missile programs and at last stepped as a president of the country. Each and every word in the book motivates a common man. The book drags everyone’s attention by his missile projects. The most important thing that made me attracted to this book was the initial chapters that portrait a vivid picture of a country. In addition to that, the incidents that happened during his teenage years were motivational. During his teenage years, Abdul Kalam wished to be an officer in the airforce however, he failed to clear the exams. He got disappointed so he met his guru Swami Sivananda. One of the inspirational sayings of his guru to Abdul Kalam was

Accept your destiny and go ahead with your life. You are not destined to become an airforce pilot. What you are destined to become is not revealed now but it is predetermined.”

The book “Wings of Fire” covers the personal life of APJ Abdul Kalam. The book also contains certain photographs that showcase the old pictures of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Another important thing which again inspired by him was his positive thinking. The secret to his success is due to neglecting negative thoughts. One of the worth reading books – “The wings of fire”. After reading this book, you can witness how Abdul Kalam was a simple, secular and inspiring person.
